A top-level overhaul at Fosun Group’s tourism unit leads this week’s collection of personnel moves from around the region, as the struggling company works to rebuild after the pandemic punished many of its businesses and with its parent company struggling for solvency. M&G Real Estate also makes the list with a new head of research and Colliers promotes a cross-border investment specialist.

Xu Xiaoliang FosunFosun Tourism Group has named Xu Xiaoliang chairman effective from 7 November, according to a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange that same day. Previously a non-executive director, Xu was upgraded to executive director, and takes over the top spot at the travel investment unit of Fosun Group at the same time that he also assumes the chairmanship of its Club Med subsidiary. The shift involves former chairman Qian Jiannong becoming a non-executive director and honorary chairman of the company, at the same time that he resigns as chief executive of Fosun Tourism and chairman of Club Med. Henri Giscard d-Estaing was appointed co-chief executive officer and Xu Bingbin was appointed co-president. The company did not name additional co-chief executives or co-presidents in a list of its officers published the same day.
Regina Lim, Head of Strategic Advisory, Capital Markets, Asia Pacific, JLLM&G Real Estate announced on 7 November that it has hired Regina Lim as director and head of property research for Asia, based in Singapore. In her new role, Lim will report to M&G Real Estate’s chief executive and chief investment officer for Asia, Jing Dong (JD) Lai, as she leads and oversees production of strategic investment recommendations on regional markets for the UK-based firm. Lim joins M&G from JLL in Singapore, where she had served for seven years, most recently as head of strategic advisory for Asia Pacific capital markets.
Chris Pilgrim_Managing Director, Asia Pacific - Global Capital Markets_ColliersColliers said on 10 November that it has promoted Chris Pilgrim to managing director with its Asia Pacific capital markets team, where he will focus on advising clients on cross-border investment deals. Pilgrim will move into his role on 1 January after joining Colliers as a director with the global capital markets team in London during June of last year. Prior to joining Colliers, Pilgrim served more than nine years with CBRE in Singapore and London.
Simon Hamer EvolutionEvolution Data Centres has promoted Simon Hamer to chief technology officer this month, according to a LinkedIn update. Hamer takes his step up with the Warburg Pincus-backed data centre operator after a year and a half as head of engineering with the Singapore-based firm. Prior to joining Evolution in June of last year, Hamer had spent just under three years with Amazon Web Services in Singapore, where he had worked most recently as data centre engineering manager for Asia Pacific.

Borah Jianzhong WangBorah Jianzhong Wang has joined Beijing Asset Management as a general manager based in the Chinese capital, according to a LinkedIn update. In his new role Wang is responsible for acquiring and disposing of non-performing loan portfolios and distressed single credit opportunities, as well as advising on restructuring of distressed listed companies, according to the update. He started his new duties this month after leaving his position as managing director with Hudson Advisors in July of this year and also has previous experience as an executive director with Goldman Sachs in Beijing.
alex mok hendersonAlex Mok has joined Hang Seng Bank in Hong Kong, where he now serves a head of asset management, according to a LinkedIn update. Mok took on his new role at Hang Seng Bank last month after six years at Henderson Land Development in the city, where he had served most recently as assistant general manager for asset management. Mok also has previous experience with CBRE and Deloitte.
Aurecon_Vivian Lee_Exec Director Water Sustainability Climate Change Greater ChinaInternational engineering consultancy Aurecon said on 7 November that it has appointed Vivian Lee as an executive director for water, sustainability and climate change for Greater China. Based in Hong Kong, Lee will lead Aurecon’s environment and sustainability practice in Greater China as part of the company’s efforts to assist clients transitioning to low carbon economies. Lee joins Aurecon from the Hong Kong Jockey Club, where she had served more than seven years and held the title of senior charities manager.
Chen Meihui FrasersChen Meihui has been promoted to assistant vice president and head of communications and branding for Frasers Property Singapore, per a LinkedIn update. After serving as an assistant vice president with the group strategic communications and branding division of Frasers Property Group for just over one year, in her new role Chen will be overseeing communications for the company’s Singapore unit.
